Draft Minutes
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Bob Carlson called the Regular Meeting of the School Ad Hoc Committee to order on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 7:05 P.M.
2. ROLL CALL
Committee Members Present: Leslie Driscoll, Chris D’Angelo (Vice-Chairman),Sam Cherenzia, Bob Carlson (Chairman), Arthur Dobley (Recording Secretary), Brett Mastroianni, Jeff Frenette (Corresponding Secretary), Barbara Siner (arrived 7:13).
Committee Members Absent: Heather Mars and Marie Sehl (resigned).
3. PUBLIC COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS:
Mr. Jerbert distributed a revised plan for Option 5. This is up to date. Discard previous one.
Mr. Susi had a discussion with the committee regarding NEASC with their reports, visits, and frequency of reports. He also talked about the building options, and his observation of limited space in the schools. Topics of discussion included: science labs, the cafeteria, meeting spaces, physical education spaces, and auditoriums.
4. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: None.
5. MINUTES:
MOTION by Brett Mastroianni, SECOND by Sam Cherenzia, to accept the Draft Minutes of 5/11/09 with no corrections. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
6. CORRESPONDENCE: Audio of last meeting. Several handouts from Bob C. on local school building projects from the newspapers and websites.
7. OLD BUSINESS: None
8. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Review building plan options. This will be addressed in the next meeting.
B. Action Items
1. Look over Mr Jerbert’s new handout
2. Barbara will look into the tour of the Sterling school.
9. DISCUSSIONS: There was miscommunication on the Sterling school visit which did not occur.
10. ADJOURNMENT
MOTION by Brett Mastroianni, SECOND by Barbara Siner to adjourn the School Ad Hoc Committee Meeting at 9:20 P.M. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
