MINUTES
Call to Order 6:15 PM with Commissioners Aiello, Condon, and Rusich present. Also present was Director John Hines
Public Comments and Questions-None
Minutes-February, 2011-A motion was made by Mr. Rusich and seconded by Mr. Condon to approve the minutes of February 7, 2011 as presented. Carrying.
Correspondence-None
Old Business
- FY 2011-12 Update--The Commission reviewed possible cutbacks to budget, tabled until April meeting when more information is available.
- Recreation Area Grant
- Discussion of Engineering Proposal-General Discussion, tentative meeting with Pat Lafayette, Engineer and Paul Archer, Surveyor on Friday, March 18th, 4:30 PM will confirm with membership.
- Ice Skating Rink-Discussion held on ice rink. Mr. Hines will call Newport, RI, to ask how they cover and/or store the rink for the Summer. Discussion of alternate ways to empty water from rink safely.
- North Stonington Recreation Commission proposed policy regarding
Discipline for Commission employees that may result from activities that are deemed detrimental to any Recreation Commission program or policy.—It was agreed to work with draft policy presented by Mr. Hines.
New Business
- Discussion of Recreation Commission Summer Playground and Kiddie Camp Programs-Direction for Summer 2011-General Discussion was held on having one director for the two Summer Camps. No final action taken, pending numbers of campers and budget outcome.

Adjournment-A motion was made by Commissioner Condon and seconded by Commissioner Rusich to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 PM, carrying.
