MINUTES

SPECIAL MEETING - SITE-WALK

 

 

At the Route 2 Frontage of parcel 85-6201, east of #713 Norwich-Westerly Road, North Stonington, CT

Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.

 

MINUTES APPROVED ~ APRIL 7, 2016

 

ZC #16-009 (Zone Change) Application of Watrous Associates, Inc., 5 Pierce Ave., Bridgeport, CT  06604 for a change to the zoning map of 7 parcels (84-9158, 85-6201, 84-6538, 84-3316, 84-6166, 84-3703, 84-9612), from an R-80 zone to Commercial. 

 

The meeting was called to order at 9:33 a.m. by Chairman Lou Steinbrecher. 

 

COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Lou Steinbrecher, Chairman, Elaine Boissevain, Vice Chairman, Joseph Siner, Secretary, and Ann Brown.

 

COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Wayne Wilkinson, Member, Pat Lewis, Alternate Member, Julie Lanier, Alternate Member, Edmund McGowan, Alternate Member.

 

Also present was William Schwartz, applicant’s representative.

 

Commission members entered the property where the Algonquin Gas right-of-way crosses Route 2 and enters the subject property.  Members walked south to the Connecticut Light and Power parcel, then west on the CL&P property to the south west corner of the Beardslee property, then north to Route 2 and east to the meeting spot.  Members then walked into parcel 85-6201 to what appeared to be the high point of that parcel.

 

Mr. Schwartz did not accompany the commission members on the walk but did wait for the return of the commission members

 

No testimony was taken.  The purpose of the site walk was to acquaint commission members with the subject property.

 

The site walk concluded at the location where it began.  A motion to adjourn was made by E. Boissevain, seconded by A. Brown, and carried unanimously at 10:26 a.m.
