MINUTES APPROVED ~ AUGUST 6, 2015

 

1.   CALL MEETING TO ORDERChairman Lou Steinbrecher called the Special Meeting of the North Stonington Planning & Zoning Commission to order on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 7:08 p.m. at the New Town Hall, Conference Room. 

 

       COMMISSIONERS PRESENTLou Steinbrecher, Chairman, Elaine Boissevain, Vice-Chair and Alternate Member Pat Lewis

 

       COMMISSIONERS ABSENTJoe Siner, Wayne Wilkinson, Ann Brown and Alternate Members Julie Lanier and Ed McGowan   

  

        STAFF PRESENTZEO/Planner Tom Zanarini, Administrative Assistant Cheryl Konsavitch, Consulting Planner Juliet Hodge & Consulting Attorney Mike Zizka

 

2.   PLANNING ISSUES & DISCUSSION:   

 

Zoning Regulation Update with Atty. Zizka

 

Atty. Zizka explained the changes he made to the proposed draft regulations and will have more revisions for the Commission to review by e-mail next week.  Atty. Zizka recommended the Commission have a brief Special Meeting to accept the proposed draft regulations and set them for Public Hearing.

 

The Commission will hold a Special Meeting on June 29th.

 

3.   SENIOR PLANNER & ZONING OFFICIAL’S REPORT/ISSUES:   

 

ZEO Activity Report/April-May

 

ZEO Zanarini went over his report and also showed the Commission a revised drawing of the Warehouse being proposed at 41 Norwich-Westerly Rd. with some slight changes to the building.  The Commission consensus was these changes are minor and can be handled administratively by the ZEO.

  

 

 

4.  ADJOURNMENT:

 

MOTION by E. Boissevain, SECOND by P. Lewis to adjourn the meeting at 9:55 p.m.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
