MINUTES APPROVED ~ SEPTEMBER 10, 2015

 

1.   CALL MEETING TO ORDERChairman Lou Steinbrecher called the Regular Meeting of the North Stonington Planning & Zoning Commission to order on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 7:02 p.m. at the New Town Hall, Conference Room. 

 

       COMMISSIONERS PRESENTLou Steinbrecher, Chairman, Elaine Boissevain, Vice-Chair, Joseph Siner, Secretary, Ann Brown, Wayne Wilkinson and Alternate Member Pat Lewis

 

       COMMISSIONERS ABSENTAlternate Members Ed McGowan and Julie Lanier

3.   PUBLIC COMMENTNone 

 

4.   PUBLIC HEARINGS:        

 

The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of North Stonington will continue a public hearing on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the New Town Hall Conference Rm., 40 Main St., N. Stonington, CT, to consider the Commission’s proposals to adopt a comprehensive revision of the Town of N. Stonington Zoning Regulations. At that time, the Commission will also commence a public hearing on amending the official Zoning Map in connection with any changes made to the Zoning Regulations. All portions of the current Zoning Regulations and Zoning Map are subject to revision.  The proposed revised Zoning Regulations and Zoning Map are on file in the Town Clerk’s & Land Use Office, New Town Hall, 40 Main St., N. Stonington, where they may be reviewed during normal business hours. Written communications regarding the proposed revisions will be accepted at any time before the closing of the hearing.   

 

Secretary Siner read the application into the record.

 

Seated:  L. Steinbrecher, E. Boissevain, W. Wilkinson, A. Brown, P. Lewis

J. Hodge and Atty. Zizka went over the zoning revision highlights.

 

ZEO Zanarini went over the proposed zoning map to remove split zoned parcels which the Commission discussed in length.

 

MOTION by J. Siner, SECOND by W. Wilkinson to continue the Public Hearing on the proposed regulations and zoning map to September 10, 2015.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

 

5.  PENDING APPLICATIONS:

 

The Commission’s proposals to adopt (1) a comprehensive revision of the Town of North Stonington Zoning Regulations, and Zoning Map (2) an amendment to Section 4.16.3 of the Subdivision Regulations regarding the requirement of providing digital copies of approved subdivision plans.  All portions of the current Zoning Regulations are subject to revision.  (NO ACTION NEEDED)
