1.    CALL MEETING TO ORDERVice-Chair Elaine Boissevain called the Regular Meeting of the North Stonington Planning & Zoning Commission to order on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 7:05 p.m. at the New Town Hall, Conference Room. 

 

       COMMISSIONERS PRESENTLou Steinbrecher, Chairman (arrived at 7:06 p.m.), Elaine Boissevain, Vice-Chair, Joseph Siner, Secretary, and Alternate Member Pat Lewis    

 

       COMMISSIONERS ABSENT Wayne Wilkinson, Ann Brown and Alternate Members Julie Lanier and Ed McGowan   

 

        STAFF PRESENTSr. Planner & Zoning Official Juliet Leeming and Administrative Assistant Cheryl Konsavitch

4.  PLANNING ISSUES & DISCUSSION:    

 

Zoning Regulation Update with Don Poland

 

Don Poland, Consultant gave the Commission a reorganization table which is a summary of the reorganization and numbering of sections.  Mr. Poland and ZEO Leeming went over proposed regulations pertaining to a Design Development District, Site Design Standards & Requirements Water Supply Protection Overlay Zone, Consolidated Parcels, Excavation, Senior Housing Community, and Planned Residential Development.

 

Mr. Poland stated he would have a revised draft of the proposed regulations on June 28th.

The Commission accepted the minutes of 06/05/14 as submitted.

MOTION by E. Boissevain, SECOND by P. Lewis to adjourn the meeting at 9:35 p.m.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
