DRAFT MINUTES

 

 

1.    CALL MEETING TO ORDERVice-Chair Elaine Boissevain called the Regular Meeting of the North Stonington Planning & Zoning Commission to order on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 7:04 p.m. at the New Town Hall, Conference Room. 

 

       COMMISSIONERS PRESENTElaine Boissevain, Vice-Chair, Joe Siner, Secretary, and Alternate Members Julie Lanier and Pat Lewis    

 

       COMMISSIONERS ABSENT Lou Steinbrecher, Chairman, Wayne Wilkinson, Ann Brown, and Alternate Member Ed McGowan   

 

        STAFF PRESENTSr. Planner & Zoning Official Juliet Leeming and Administrative Assistant Cheryl Konsavitch

4.  WORKSHOP:

 

Members from the Firehouse went over proposed new Emergency Services Building

 

Don Smith, P.E., went over the preliminary site-plan with the Commission stating the property consists of 8 acres in an R-40 zone, with no wetlands on the property.  Mr. Smith stated they had looked at different locations on the site, but the proposed area was the best choice and the building will be hooked up to city water with a grant to help with the cost and will have on-site septic.

 

 

 

5.  PUBLIC HEARING:

 

SUB/SPEC #14-047 (Subdivision & Special Permit) Application of Green Falls Associates, LLC Profit Sharing Plan, P.O. Box 335, Gales Ferry, CT  06335 for a 4-Lot subdivision with a proposed shared driveway on property located on the west side of Boombridge Rd. & the south side of Clarks Falls Rd. in an R-80, AP Zone.  Tax Map #97, Parcel #0360

(NO ACTION NEEDED; PH opened on 8/07/14 & continued to 9/04/14; Commission received on 7/17/14 & PH must close on or by 9/10/14)
