WORKSHOP
The Planning & Zoning Commission along with the Economic Development Commission held a workshop to discuss Holly Green regarding the following issues:
- Double entrance – possibly creating a second entrance into Holly Green from Route 2 by Frank Limpert’s property.
- Landscaping along Route 2 – remove several trees in exchange for stone walls and/or rail fencing or a combination of both for better visibility.
- Signage – more signage, both on the road, building and interior directional and possibly relocating the master sign.
- Lighting – on building and walkways
- Co-advertising – to promote Holly Green
- Zoning – Village concept: residential on 2nd floor, restaurant and lounge allowing patrons to be served at the counter by bartender, live music.
- Special functions – car shows, farmers and/or flea market
- Parking requirements per use – parking requirements may need to be re-examined as per use.
The Planning and Zoning Commission was reception to the suggestions of the Holly Green owners and tenants and suggested they look over the new regulations and see if some of the things they would like to do may already be permitted.
The Commission suggested the tenants and owners come in with a draft preliminary plan of what they would like to do at a workshop session.
Respectfully Submitted,
