1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Secretary Gregoropoulos called the Special Meeting of the North Stonington Planning & Zoning Commission to order on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 4:40 p.m. at the New Town Hall, Conference Room.
COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Vilma Gregoropoulos, Secretary and Alternate Members Duncan Schweitzer and Ann Brown
COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: G. Russell Stewart, III, Chairman, E. Boissevain, Vice-Chairman, Louis E. Steinbrecher, Joseph Siner and Alternate Member Susan Grufstedt
STAFF PRESENT: Administrative Assistant Cheryl Konsavitch and 1st Selectman Nicholas Mullane (arrived at 4:50 p.m.)
AGENDA
1. Phone Interview of applicants for ZEO/Planner Position
2. Possible Executive Session for Phone Interview of applicant for ZEO/Planner position and consideration and discussion of applications for ZEO/Planner positions.
3. Discussion and action on ZEO/Planner applications.
The Commission members discussed how to proceed with the phone interviews. Mr. Mullane joined the meeting to answer questions about benefits.
MOTION by A. Brown, SECOND by D. Schweitzer to go into Executive Session at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of phone interviews with 2 prospective applicants for the ZEO/Planner position. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
Present: V. Gregoropoulos, D. Schweitzer, A. Brown, N. Mullane
The Commission members present went into Executive Session for the above stated reason with Mr. Mullane present to answer questions about benefits.
MOTION by A. Brown, SECOND by D. Schweitzer to come out of Executive Session at 6:15 p.m. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
The members present agreed that both applicants were candidates for the position and should visit in person as the next step in their review.
ADJOURNMENT:
MOTION by V. Gregoropoulos, SECOND by D. Schweitzer to adjourn the special meeting at 6:30 p.m. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
