WORKSHOP
Atty. Tim Bates requested a workshop to discuss a proposed text amendment to create a Multi-Family Floating Zone containing a 30% affordability criteria for 40 years. All Residential Zones would be eligible provided the parcel was not less than 10 acres or more than 200 acres, and the parcel had a minimum of 50’ of road frontage. Maximum gross density at 5 units per gross acre.
Atty. Tim Bates was present and went over a summary of the Connecticut General Statutes Section 8-30g pertaining to the Affordable Housing Land Use Appeals Act.
Atty. Bates distributed handouts which included the summary he went over, Affordable Housing Land Use Appeals procedures and Chapter 126a, Affordable Housing Land Use Appeals.
