1.   CALL TO ORDER:

 

Vice Chairman Mark Grigg called the Regular Meeting of the Inland Wetlands Commission to order on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 7:07 p.m.

 

COMMISSIONERS PRESENT:

 

Mark Grigg, Vice-Chair, Duane White, Kevin Geary, Ron Lewis, Cody Bill

 

COMMISSIONERS ABSENTGeorge Brown, Chairman, Art Dobley, Candice Palmer, and Robert Miner 

 

STAFF PRESENT:

 

Wayne Berardi, Wetlands Enforcement Officer

 

STAFF ABSENTCheryl Konsavitch, Administrative Assistant

 

2.   ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDANone   

 

3.   MINUTES:

 

Review minutes of Regular meeting held 12/10/2014.

 

MOTION by K. Geary, SECOND by D. White to approve the draft minutes of 12/10/15 without changes.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

 

4.   PUBLIC COMMENT None

7.   DISCUSSION:

 

Steven Bossei, 161 Babcock Road to come before the Commission to discuss possible activity in a regulated wetland area.

 

Mr. Bossie was present for the meeting.  Steven Bossie reported that he is in the process of maintaining a pond and is in the process of seeding the banks.

 

Mark C, Gardella, an abutting neighbor on Babcock Road just south of Steven Bossie’s property, presented the Commission with a packet of information containing aerial photographs of the worksite.

 

Mr. Gardella is concerned that Mr. Bossie may not have all the proper permits in place that would be applicable to the work being accomplished by Mr. Bossie.  Mr. Gardella said that he would like to review all the documents allowing the work Mr. Bossie is doing.  Mr. Gardella was informed by the Commission that all documents that are available to the public can be requested through the town during regular business hours.

 

Mr. Gardella requested that the Commission order a cease and desist to Mr. Bossie until further notice.

 

The Commission informed Mr. Bossie that the Commission will conduct a site walk of the area on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 5:00 PM.  Mr. Bossie agreed, and also agreed that no further work will be carried out relative to this pond project until the Commission performs the site walk, makes an evaluation, and informs Mr. Bossie when he can continue with or without any applicable modifications to the work scope.
