1.   CALL TO ORDER:
 
Chairman George Brown called the Regular Meeting of the Inland Wetlands Commission to order on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 7:05 p.m.
 
COMMISSIONERS PRESENT:
 
George Brown, Chairman, Mark Grigg, Vice-Chair, Duane White, Kevin Geary (arrived at 7:07 p.m.), Art Dobley, and Cody Bill
 
COMMISSIONERS ABSENTRon Lewis, Candy Palmer, and Robert Miner

Review minutes of regular meeting of 12/11/13
 
MOTION by D. White SECOND by M. Grigg to approve the minutes of December 11, 2013 as submitted.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

6.   NEW BUSINESS:       
 
A.  #14-004 (Stone Wall) Application of Robert Deledda, P.O. Box 243, N. Stonington, CT  06359 for the construction of approximately 25 ft. of natural stone wall at water edge on property located at Lakeside Dr., North Stonington, CT  06359 in an R-80 Zone.  Tax Map #45, Parcel #1451
 
B.  #14-007 (Stone Wall) Application of Wesley A. Lamphere, 1 Lakeside Dr., N. Stonington, CT  06359 for the construction of approximately 100’ of stone wall along water edge to prevent further erosion in an R-80 Zone.  Tax Map #45, Parcel #2664
 
C.  #14-008 (Stone Wall) Application of Emma Dugas, 45 Lakeside Dr., N. Stonington, CT  06359 for the construction of approximately 52’ of stone wall along water edge to prevent further erosion in an R-80 Zone.  Tax Map #45, Parcel #2611
 
Robert Deledda and Wes Lamphere were present for applications A-C.  The applicants stated they would like to construct stone walls along the waters edge to further prevent erosion.  The Commission asked that the applicants present a detailed sketch of their proposals for all 3 applications.  The Commission will do individual site walks of the properties and the applicants will return for the February 12th meeting.
 
D.  #14-006 (Subdivision) Application of Gayle Chappell, 100D Jeremy Hill Rd., N. Stonington, CT  06359 for a 4-lot subdivision of land on property located at 75 Rocky Hollow Rd., N. Stonington, CT  06359 in an R-40 Zone.  Tax Map #116, Parcel #2595
 
Scot Deledda, Engineer, John Comeau, Surveyor, and Gayle Chappell were present for this application.
 
Mr. Deledda went over the application which he stated is a family subdivision on approximately 37 acres with 2 lots being 7 ½ acres and 2 lots being 11 acres.  Mr. Deledda went over the site-plan with the Commission and will return for the Commission’s February 12th meeting.
 
7.    DISCUSSIONNone          
 
8.   ENFORCEMENT OFFICER’S REPORT
 
WEO Berardi stated he did an inspection at 184 Wintechog Road and the property owner is working in a regulated area.  The Commission asked that a letter be sent to the property owner to attend the Commission’s February 12th meeting.
