CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman George Brown called the Regular Meeting of the Inland Wetlands Commission to order on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.
COMMISSIONERS PRESENT:
George Brown, Chairman, Mark Grigg, Vice-Chair, Duane White, Candy Palmer, Art Dobley, and Ron Lewis
COMMISSIONERS ABSENT:
Kevin Geary, Cody Bill, and Robert Miner

MOTION by C. Palmer SECOND by D. White to approve the minutes of October 8, 2014 as submitted. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

OLD BUSINESS:
A. #14-075
Application of HSB Partners, LLC, c/o William R. Sweeney, Esq., P.O. Box 58, New London, CT 06320 for regulated activities associated with the construction of a warehouse distribution
facility and associated parking and access drives on property located at 41 Norwich-Westerly Rd., N. Stonington, CT 06359 in an OR Zone. Tax Map #122, Lot #0574
Atty. William Sweeney of TCORS and Don Gerwick, of Gerwick & Mereen Land Surveyors & Civil Engineers were present for this continued application.
Atty. Sweeney started they have submitted revised plans and drainage reports. Atty. Sweeney stated there are very minor changes to the site
layout from last meeting stating they changed the orientation of the detention basin to accomodate truck turning radius which also reduced the amount of impervious surface.
Mr. Gerwick went over the revised plans.
MOTION by D. White, SECOND by C. Palmer to approve application #14-075 as submitted on the revised plans and the preferred option for
Erosion & Sediment Control to use wood chips from the site. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
B. #14-077
Application of Stephen Holliday, 42 Mains Crossing Rd., N. Stonington, CT 06359 to construct a 25 x 40 garage on property located at 42 Mains Crossing Rd., in an R-60 Zone. Tax
Map #101, Lot #9811
Mr. Stephen Holliday was present for this continued application. The garage is to be located in the wetlands buffer and the Commission did
individual site-walks of the property and had no issues with the location.
MOTION by C. Palmer, SECOND by D. White to approve application #14-077 as submitted. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

NEW BUSINESS:
#14-081 Application of Patricia & Eugene McClure, 27 Park
Ave., Waterford, CT 06385 to construct a driveway on property located at 300 Providence-New London Trpk., N. Stonington, CT 06359 in an R-60 Zone. Tax Map #117, Parcel #9903
Mr. Don Gerwick, of Gerwick & Mereen Land Surveyors & Civil Engineers was present for this application.
Mr. Gerwick went over the application for the proposed driveway and the Commission asked Mr. Gerwick to stake out the center line. The Commission
will do individual site walks of the property.
The applicant will return for the Commission’s December 10th meeting.
