Atty. William Sweeney of TCORS and Don Gerwick, of Gerwick & Mereen Land Surveyors & Civil Engineers were
present representing the applicant.
Atty. Sweeney stated the nature of the business is an organic food import business that is currently operating
out of a warehouse in N. Franklin, but has outgrown that facility. Atty. Sweeney stated the new warehouse distribution facility would be constructed on the front portion of this site and is anticipated to be between 20,000
and 30,000 sq. ft. in size. The second phase of the development of this site would be to rehabilitate and reopen the historic restaurant and inn located at the rear of the property, formerly known as Randall’s Ordinary. The restaurant/inn use would be integrated
with the HSB’s existing import business and would showcase its organic food offerings.
Mr. Gerwick went over the site plan for the construction of the warehouse that consists of approximately
27.3 acres, but the project area within the site is slightly less than 3 acres.
The applicant will return for the October 12th meeting.
