DRAFT MINUTES

 

1.   CALL TO ORDER:

 

Chairman George Brown called the Regular Meeting of the Inland Wetlands Commission to order on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 7:05 p.m.

 

COMMISSIONERS PRESENT:

 

George Brown, Chairman, Kevin Geary, Ron Lewis, Art Dobley, Duane White, and Marvin Chase, Jr.

 

COMMISSIONERS ABSENTMark Grigg, Vice-Chair, Candy Palmer. & Robert Miner

 

STAFF PRESENT:

 

Cheryl Konsavitch, Administrative Assistant and Wayne Berardi, Wetlands Enforcement Officer

3.   MINUTES:

 

Review minutes of regular meeting of January 9, 2013

 

The Wetlands Commission accepted the minutes of January 9, 2013 as written.

 

4.    OLD BUSINESSNone

 

5.   NEW BUSINESS:       

 

SUB #13-003 (Subdivision) Application of Duane A. White, 94 Pinewoods Rd., North Stonington, CT  06359 for a 3-lot subdivision of land on property located at 93 Pinewoods, North Stonington, CT  06359 in an R-80 Zone.  Tax Map #90, Parcel #7989

 

Duane White was present for this application.

 

Mr. White went over the application with the Commission.  WEO Berardi asked questions pertaining to engineered septic systems and drainage onto the road. 

 

Mr. White stated there is a note on a previously approved site-plan for a free split stating there are no wetlands on the property.  The Commission stated that Mr. White would need a note on the plan stating there are no wetlands on the property and signed by the soil scientist.

9.   CORRESPONDENCE

 

Marvin Chase, Jr. gave the Commission his letter of resignation due to work obligations.  The Commission asked that a letter be submitted to the Selectmen to appoint Cody Bill to fill the position vacated by Mr. Chase

 to fill the position vacated by Mr. Chase

 

10   ADJOURNMENT 

 

MOTION by M. Chase, Jr., SECOND by K. Geary to adjourn the Inland Wetlands Commission Meeting at 7:50 p.m.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
