1.   CALL TO ORDER:

 

Chairman George Brown called the Regular Meeting of the Inland Wetlands Commission to order on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.

 

COMMISSIONERS PRESENT:

 

George Brown, Chairman, Mark Grigg, Vice-Chair, Kevin Geary, Ron Lewis, Mac Gray, Marvin Chase, Jr., and Art Dobley

 

COMMISSIONERS ABSENTDuane White and Robert Miner  

 

STAFF PRESENT:

 

Cheryl Konsavitch, Administrative Assistant and Wayne Berardi, Wetlands Enforcement Officer

3.   MINUTES:

 

Review minutes of regular meeting of June 13, 2012

 

MOTION by M. Grigg, SECOND by K. Geary to approve the draft minutes of 6/13/12 as written.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

5.    NEW BUSINESS

 

#12-068 (Private Drive) Application of Arlene F. Steinlauf & Scott A. Hurwitz, Trustees of Edward G. Steinlauf Trust & Lorraine Yardan, Trustee of Stephan W. Yardan Trust, 55 Sound View Heights, Branford, CT  06405 for the construction of a private driveway off Jeremy Hill Road in North Stonington, CT  06359 in an R-60  Zone to access subdivision in Stonington.  Tax Map #115, Parcel #7823

(Commission received on 8/08/12; must act on or by 10/11/12)

 

Application #12-068 was tabled to October 10, 2012

 

6.    WORKSHOP

 

Mr. Scot Deledda came before the Commission to discuss a parcel of land on Denison Hill Rd. for a Single Family Residence that has wetlands. 

 

The Commission stated to map the wetlands and submit a formal application.

 

7.    DISCUSSION:          

 

Expired Wetlands Terms/Reappointments

 

The Commission will send a letter to the Selectmen asking them to re-appointment Ronald Lewis, Kevin Geary and Robert Miner to the Commission.

 

Mac Gray did not want to be re-appointed.  The Commission will send a letter to the Selectman asking them to appoint Candy Palmer to the open seat vacated by Mr. Gray.

MOTION by M. Grigg, SECOND by A. Dobley to adjourn the Inland Wetlands Commission Meeting at 7:30 p.m.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
