1. CALL TO ORDER:
Ron Lewis called the Regular Meeting of the Inland Wetlands Commission to order on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
COMMISSIONERS PRESENT:
Kevin Geary, D’Arcy Cleveland, Ron Lewis, Mac Gray and Robert Miner
COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Duane White, Chairman, Mark Grigg, Vice-Chairman, Arthur Dobley and George Brown
STAFF PRESENT:
Cheryl Konsavitch, Administrative Assistant and Wayne Berardi, Wetlands Enforcement Officer

3. MINUTES:
Review minutes of 7/09/08 meeting.
MOTION by M Gray, SECOND by K. Geary to approve the Draft Minutes of July 9, 2008 as presented. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
4. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None
5. OLD BUSINESS: None
6. NEW BUSINESS:
A. #08-063 (Accessory Structures & regarding) Application of James A. Tefft, Jr., P.O. Box 1244, Hope Valley, RI 02832 to construct a porch & deck (8 x 40 front, 14 x 40 side, 8 x 40 back), garage (15 x 24) and re-grade front yard on property located at 72C Stillman Road, North Stonington, CT 06359. Tax Map #118, Parcel #8440 in an R-60 Zone.
The applicant was sent notice of the meeting, but was not present.
WEO Berardi reviewed the application with the Commission and the Commission members will do individual site walks of the property and discuss at next month’s meeting.
The applicant will be asked to attend next month’s meeting.
B. #08-067 (Single-Family Residence) Application of William Hescock, 60 Main Street, North Stonington, CT 06359 to construct a single-family residence on property located at 62K Patricia Avenue, North Stonington, CT 06359. Tax Map #45, Parcel #8036 in an R-80 Zone.
The surveyor representing the applicant was not able to attend the meeting and WEO Berardi reviewed the site-plan with the Commission.
The Commission has scheduled a site walk of the property on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.
The applicant will return for next month’s meeting.
C. #08-072 (Addition) Application of Dana E. Wolinski, 77 Browning Road, Griswold, CT 06351 to construct a 12’ x 28’ addition on property located at 39L Ledgen Wood Road, North Stonington, CT 06359. Tax Map #45, Parcel #4009 in an R-80 Zone.
Mr. Dana Wolinski was present for this application and reviewed it with the Commission. The Commission members will do individual site walks of the property and the applicant will return for the September meeting.
D. #08-073 (Accessory) Application of Marvin Chase, Jr., 703 Pendleton Hill Road, North Stonington, CT 06359 to construct a 24’ x 36’ pavilion for solar on roof on property located at 703 Pendleton Hill Road, North Stonington, CT 06359. Tax Map #59, Parcel #1648 in an R-80 Zone.
Mr. Marvin Chase was present for this application and reviewed his plans with the Commission. Mr. Chase stated he needed to cross a pond to feed power to the pavilion and he will restore the stream when done. The Commission felt it was an insignificant activity and directed WEO Berardi to sign off on this application.
