1. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Duane White called the Regular Meeting of the Inland Wetlands Commission to order on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
COMMISSIONERS PRESENT:
Duane White, Chairman, Mark Grigg, Vice-Chairman, Arthur Dobley, Kevin Geary, D’Arcy Cleveland, Mac Gray , Ron Lewis
STAFF PRESENT:
Cheryl Konsavitch, Administrative Assistant and Wayne Berardi, Wetlands Enforcement Officer (arrived at 7:05 p.m.)
2. ADDTIIONS TO THE AGENDA: None
3. MINUTES:
MOTION by M. Gray, SECOND by D. Cleveland to approve the Draft Minutes of July 11, 2007 as presented. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
4. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None
5. OLD BUSINESS:
A. #07-110 (Accessory) Application of William Corrigan, 185 Wyassup Road, North Stonington, CT 06359 for a Wetlands Permit to construct a shed and barn on property located at 185 Wyassup Road, North Stonington, CT 06359. Map #87, Parcel #6758.
Mr. William Corrigan was present for this application.
The Commission discussed their site-walk of this property and had would like to see stabilization around the pond.
MOTION by M. Grigg, SECOND by K. Geary to approve application #07-110 with stabilization around the pond. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
B. #07-112 (Duplex) Application of Gary J. Winalski, 9 Heritage Drive, Stonington, CT 06378 for a Wetlands Permit to cross wetlands for access to a proposed duplex residence, construct a fire pond and minor grading for property located at 152 Wyassup Road, North Stonington, CT 06359. Map #95, Parcel #6223.
R. Lewis abstained from this application.
Mr. Gary Winalski was present for this application.
The Commission discussed their site-walk of this property and Mr. Winalski submitted revised plans for this application, which he reviewed with the Commission.
MOTION by K. Geary, SECOND by D. Cleveland to approve application #07-112 with the modifications shown on plan stamped received 8/08/07. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
C. #07-113 (Single-Family Residence) Application of Brian M. & Deborah M. Browne, 10 Pinewoods Road, North Stonington, CT 06359 for a Wetlands Permit to construct a Single-Family Residence with extension of existing driveway within the 100’ review area on property located at 10 Pinewoods Road, North Stonington, CT 06359. Map #90, Lot #6572.
Mr. John Comeau was present for this application.
The Commission had no issues or concerns with this plan.
MOTION by R. Lewis, SECOND by D. Cleveland to approve application #07-113 as submitted. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

The Commission discussed the fee schedule and made their recommendations. A Public Hearing will held when the Commission’s Regulation Updates are ready.
