Minutes

Chairman Bradford Currier Called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.

Roll call:
Commissioners in attendance were Gladys Chase, Peter Bogoian, Brad Currier, Marilyn Mackay and Brent Woodward. Members absent were Mark Perkins, Linda Pershaec and Robert Kimball.   

Treasurer Robert Kimball was absent.

Treasurer’s report was read by Brad Currier. The present balance is $4215. and the amount spent $3,032.

Minutes of March 18, 2010 meeting were discussed. Motion made by Brent Woodward and seconded by Peter Bogoian to accept minutes as presented.    Four members in favor with one abstention.

OLD BUSINESS:  

1)NS Business Assoc:   next meeting is April 21, 2010 at the Hilltop Inn. The   North Stonington “ Business” Pocket Map went to press and is scheduled to be distributed April 1st.

Ideas being worked on are:
A float in the Memorial Day Parade.
North Stonington Fair Booth
Welcome to town packet for new residents.

2)North Stonington Infrastructure report still not ready for distribution.

3)Peter Bogoian gave report on WPCA meeting. They are currently working on mark up regulations and new draft. Considering benefits of limited sewers and how package plants need to be applied. Municipal agreements are being worked on.

4) Flood Damage – update

5)Still waiting for decision from FEMA on federal disaster status.

Brad gave out map of the areas with damage and a list of town repairs still needed. The report showed the roads that have been temporarily repaired.

NEW BUSINESS:  

1)    CBI Crash Course I – “Fundamentals of
Economic Development & Planning ” Date : Thursday, April 29, 2010. All members are encouraged to attend.                                                                                             
Motion to adjourn was made by Marilyn Mackay and seconded by Brent Woodward.

Meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
