Call to order: Time - 6:02 By - M. Perkins Jr
Attendance: M. Perkins Jr, Chair. G. Cassata, V. Chair, S. Burdick R. Secretary, P. Kowack, B. Mastrioanno, R Shabunia, C. Steinhart V, M. Tate, B. Elias, J. Bosma, R. Burdick (First Selectman: N. Mullane)

Minutes:8/12/2013 Motion by: M. Perkins 2nd by: G. Cassata Approved
Approval and payment of Invoices: No Invoices.
Correspondence: Proposal from Architectural Consulting Services (Peter Springsteel) (8-19-1/2013) .
Public Comment:
1. Mike MacDonald: Introduced himself and his company Downes Construction Company, Discussed what his company does also that they have had some experience in the design build sector.
Old Business:
1. N. Mullane reported that the process of hiring the secretary, he will be giving the paperwork to the selectman on the 20th.
2. M. Perkins discussed reconfirming membership including, J. Bosma, and R. Burdick. N. Mullane reported that the board of selectman wanted more construction oriented people. It will be brought to the board of selectman on the 20th G. Cassata will be attending and arguing the point that both new selections do have construction experience.
3. M. Perkins called Steve Chrabase (USDA) and is still waiting to hear back from him.
4. Discussion was reconvened on the debate between design build – design bid build.
New Business:
1. G. Cassata made a motion and seconded by P. Kowack to pursue the design bid build process the motion was approved by the committee.
2. Motion made by G. Cassata to hire P. Springsteel, architect to work with the selectman and towns attorney, to develop an RFP to go out to bid for architectural services for the new building, seconded by R. Shabunia. Approved
3. N. Mullane reported that the Selectman would like a chain of command for the construction side of the process.
4. P. Kowack discussed coming up with a name for the project.
5. B. Elias wants to start visit recently built Fire / Ambulance Stations, a list will be composed for next weeks meeting
Public comments:
1. B. Mastrioanno reported that multiple people have approached him about wanting the state police in the new building.
