Review of February minutes and accepted as written.
Completed POCD was given to CC members present.

Ongoing  Business:
  • Review of Rocky Hollow Recreation Area and renewed recommendation from the 2013 and the 2003 PCRL to try to acquire by a long lease agreement from the State a 13.5 acre parcel of land adjacent to the Recreation area. Letters to be sent to the Selectmen and, if approved, to the State identifying our interest in this piece.  It will not include the option of a land trade. The commission reviewed the parcel map and suggested we wait for a State response. Bill will forward the modified letter for Selectmen comments.
Old Business:
  • Estimates from 3 Printing companies presented for next years calendar. The commission would like an example of a Calendar each from The Day, Agjo, and Minuteman to review for quality.
  • Current monies from this year’s calendar at $2340. Current price $5.
  • Draft of Stillman Hill License agreement with Peter Block has been signed, sealed and recorded.
  • Stillman Hill trail work is April 26th  at 9 AM or rain date 27th at  1 PM.

New Business:
  • Revision of Town Trail Map done.
  • Yearly agenda of to work on trails postponed.
  • Brochure on if the Preserved State Property is really preserved.
  • Nest month to review possibility of connecting trail near Lake of Isles east across Swantown Rd, Cossaduck Hill to Pachaug State Forest.
  • Additions to town trail map: As we have not heard from the MPTN regarding our request over a year ago, to add the Tribes trail system to our maps, Ricker contacted Mike Bolton from the Mashantucket Natural Resources Dept. We are still on the agenda, but they continue to cancel their meetings and have done so for over a year.
