REGULAR MEETING AT NEW TOWN HALL

Call to Order @ 6:00 pm
Present : Dick Blodgett, Bob Fleury, Bill Ricker, Warren Speh, and Mike Charnetski. Excused: Pat Lewis
Minutes of June meeting were approved as written
Ricker reported that there is no information to report on the Notable Tree campaign.
Ricker has e-mailed Atty Eppinger twice requesting his action on a follow-up letter to Drakos reminding him to sign permission for our Chester Main Bridle Trail to pass over his property. We have no response from Atty Eppinger.
Public Works has not yet dug the post holes for Fleury and Ricker to place the trail signs.
The calendar money request of a $3,000 loan was approved. Ricker will bring to the August meeting pictures and script to move the calendar forward to production. All commissioners are asked to submit pictures which may be selected for inclusion. A September 1 deadline to have the draft sent to the printer is planned with a return no later than November 1 to begin sale.
Map and text revisions for our document to be included in the POCD was laboriously discussed. Ricker to meet with Juliet Leeming to go over revisions.
With the resignation of Joe Spano, motion made and seconded to request the appointment of Mike Charnetski to a permanent position. Voted: 4-0-0
Should that appointment be made, motion made and seconded to recommend the appointment of Mark Jaffen as an alternate member. Voted: 4-0-0
Ricker to e-mail recommendations to First Selectman.
As no regular meeting is scheduled for August, a workshop to continue to discuss the POCD revisions and the calendar will be held Thursday, August 29 @ 6:00 pm in the new Town Hall.
