Special Meeting of the Conservation Commission
Seated and voting were: Bill Ricker, Bob fleury, Paige Brooks, Pat Lewis, Dick Blodgett and Kellene Limpert.
Motion that the Town move with deliberate speed to negotiate with the State to add to the present recreation area by trading with the town a portion of lot #5697, which adjoins current Rocky Hollow Recreation area & Assekonk Swamp. Motion passes 5-0-0 Ricker recused.
Motion that Fleury write this letter. Passed 5-0-0 Ricker Recused
Motion that should the property currently under Mystic Seaport ownership, known as lot #9641 and #2284 become available, that the town make every effort to acquire this property. Motion passed 5-0-0 Ricker recused
Motion that the town recommend to the state that they acquire Switzer property, to increase wildlife management area. Lot #5693, in so doing the Town would then request of the State the transfer of Lot#6365 to Town for municipal and recreation purposes. Motion passed 5-0-0 Ricker recused.
