Draft Minutes-Meeting of the Conservation Commission
The Meeting was called to order By Vice-Chairman Paige Brooks at 6:07 pm. Members seated and voting were Richard Blodgett, Pat Lewis, Bob Fleury, and Paige Brooks.
P. Brooks to take minutes in absence of K. Limpert (secretary)
A. Citizens Comments: None
B. Motion to accept the minutes from November 29th, 2007 was made and seconded. Motion Carried 4-0-0.
C. Treasures Report:
There was no treasurer’s report. P. Brooks to follow up with K. Limpert regarding charges questioned at last meeting.
D. Officers and Committee Reports: None
E. Old Business: Review and act on updated by-laws, recommendations. Dick Blodgett updated the by-laws. Motion made and seconded to approve revised by-laws. Motion carried 4-0-0.
F. New Business: Receive and act on draft Plan for Conservation and Recreation Lands and recommendations for use of land areas. Motion made for commission to receive draft report and seconded. Motion carried 3-1-0. Motion made to receive Parcel Acquisition Recommendation form and seconded. Motion carried 4-0-0. Copies of the Plan for Conservation and Recreation Lands will be sent to all selectmen and the heads of all North Stonington commissions. It will also be available for review at the town clerk’s office and in the conservation commission office. A letter to the public regarding the draft document will be posted to the North Stonington bulletin board.
P. Lewis left at 7:55pm.
G. Motion to adjourn made and seconded and carried 3-0-0.
