MINUTES

1.       Call to Order/ Roll Call-7:00 PM with First Selectman Murphy, and Selectmen

Donahue and Mullane present.

4.     Stewart Hill Preserve Trail/Blue Trail Spur-The Selectmen discussed with Mr. Bill

        Ricker and Mr. Brian Rathbun.  The Selectmen concurred that opening the trail spur

        was within the Commission’s purview since it was included in the POCD.

5.     Conservation Commission Appointment-A motion was made by First Selectman Murphy to reappoint Anthony Rose as an alternate to the Conservation Commission, seconded by Selectman Donahue, carrying.  3-0  Mr. Rose’s term will expire on October 15, 2019.

6.     Town Electricity Contract updates-The Board had a general discussion of the process and agreed that the First Selectman will advertise or solicit rates for renewals and approve the lowest rate and award by the end of that day due to daily rate changes.

7.     North Stonington Ambulance Association Run Status Report and EMS

        Coverage Discussion-Board reviewed with Brian Elias, NSAA President and Charles Steinhart, V, NSVFC Chief accuracy of records, response percentages, per diem rates, Full Time v. Part Time personnel and back up policies.

10.   Connecticut DEMHS Memorandum of Agreement and Resolution-A motion was made by Selectman Mullane and seconded by Selectman Donahue to approve the Resolution for the Town to participate in the 2016 Homeland Security Grant through the CT DEMHS, carrying.  3-0

11.   Tax Refund(s)-None presented

12.   Board of Selectmen’s 2017 Meeting Schedule-A motion was made by First Selectman Murphy and seconded by Selectman Donahue to approve the 2017 BOS meeting schedule and forward to the Town Clerk for posting, carrying.  3-0

13.   Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Budget Guidance Discussion-General Discussion of both local and State goals, will be placed on agenda for future discussion.
