Minutes

              Call to Order-7:00 PM with First Selectman Murphy and Selectmen Mullane and Donahue present.  Also present were Emil Pavlovics, Carolyn Howell, and Bob Testa, Alternate from the Board of Finance.  Alex Karpinski, Bob Carlson, and Christine Wagner present from the Board of Education present.  Mike Urgo, Jay Peterson, and Mike Osborn present from the Ad Hoc School Building Committee present.  Others in attendance were Robbie McCarthy, Superintendent Peter Nero, Kristen St. Germain, Principal and Ryan Chaney, Vice Principal.

Proposal Status and Referendum Timeline-The Selectmen have called a Special Town Meeting and Referendum for May 9, 2016, and May 16, 2016 respectively.                 

General Discussion-General Discussion of newspaper coverage, postcard mailers, mill rate impact of the project; by house type and assessed values, borrowing options, space waiver explanation, VOTE TODAY signs, Bond Counsel’s caution on statements after meeting is called, information for town hall and town meeting, and other town event advertising.  First Selectman Murphy will work with Ad Hoc Communications sub-committee.
