Call to Order-7:00 PM with Selectmen Mullane, Donahue and Testa present.
Public Comments and Questions
Minutes-A motion was made by Selectman Donahue to accept the minutes of the August 26, 2014 meeting as amended, seconded by Selectman Testa, carrying.  3-0

1.      Hewitt Property
A.      Dam Repairs and added appropriation-Selectmen agreed no added appropriation at this time, and the contractor needs to file a schedule of work as well.

3.      Tribal Issues – Acknowledgement/Annexation Issues – Request for added appropriation-Selectmen want a cost estimate projection

9.       Budget 2013-2014-Close Out/Transfers
Budget 2014-2015-Selectman Mullane made a motion to forward the Board of Education’s request of an additional appropriation of $19,500 for a used van to the Board of Finance for action, seconded by Selectman Donahue, carrying 2-0-1.  Selectman Testa abstained.
A motion was made by Selectman Mullane and seconded by Selectman Donahue to request a $16,000 additional appropriation for State Police grants (DUI and Rural Road Speed), carrying.  3-0
10.     Special Town Meeting
Items for Future Town Meetings
•     Lake of Isles subdivision granting of easements to the Town
•     Exempt Tax Payments of Outstanding Taxes on Open Space received by Non-Profit organization
•     Ordinance allowing the Town to retain overpayments of taxes less than five ($5.00) dollars
•     Ordinance allowing alternate members for the Board of Finance
•     Ordinance allowing the Board of Selectmen to name, number, and renumber parcels and residences in North Stonington
•     Exemption for Personal Property—Horses
•     STEAP Grant Award—Water Line Extension $245,000-Added Appropriation
•     Approval of revised Local Capital Improvement Plan (LoCIP)-Delete from Call

1.      Main Street Stop Signs Public Hearing-September 16, 2014 – 6:30 PM
2.      Scheduling and Agenda for Meeting with Preston on joint interests-Meeting has been scheduled for September 18, 2014, at 6:30 PM in Preston.

5.      Resolution for Historic Documents Preservation Grant Authority-A motion was made by Selectman Donahue and seconded by Selectman Testa to approve the following resolution:
                        RESOLVED:  That Nicholas H. Mullane, II, First Selectman, is empowered to execute and deliver in the name and on behalf of this municipality a contract with the Connecticut State Library for a Historic Documents Preservation Grant.
