MINUTES

Call to Order-7:00 PM with Selectmen Mullane, Murphy and Donahue present

Public Comments and Questions

              Fire/EMS Committee Report-No report

YMCA Property-Executive Session-A motion was made at 7:02 PM by Selectman Mullane and seconded by Selectman Murphy to enter Executive Session, carrying.  The session adjourned at 7:08 PM no action taken

Minutes-A motion was made by Selectman Murphy and seconded by Selectman Donahue to approve the minutes of March 27, 2012, carrying.

Old Business-

  1.   Tribal Issues-Acknowledgement Issues-Court date is set for April 11, 2012, towns are arranging a meeting with Connecticut Attorney General

  2.   Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues-No report

              Affordable Housing/Incentive Housing regulations-No report

              Milltown Commons-No report

  3.   Permanent School Building Project Committee

              A. School Building Project RFQ for Architectural services- Report is due next Wednesday

              B. Permanent School Planning and Building Committee Project-No activity

C. Middle School/High School Heating System Code Update-Expansion tank replacement for Gymatorium authorized, materials ordered

  4.  Kingswood/Meadow Wood drainage-Executive Session-No session, no report

  5.  Hewitt property

              A.  Committee Report-Meeting is scheduled for Thursday to walk through to review condition of Green Gables House with Committee members and building consultant

              B.  Dam Repairs-Re-Engineering-No activity

  6.  Boombridge Road Bridge- Design-Design work continues by TranSystem

  7.  Grant applications/administration

              Water Study Ex. 92 X I95-Draft is being reviewed by two water companies

              Rec Area Basketball, Tennis Courts-Grey Wolf Contractors continue construction

              Town Hall Solar-Waiting for final Historic plaques for Old Town Hall and grant payment

              Main Street Bridges-Work is in progress, revised construction schedule has been received

11.   Request to Rent/Sell Holly Green Condominium-No activity

New Business-

1.        Tax Refund(s)-A motion was made by Selectman Donahue and seconded by Selectman Mullane to refund taxes to Jeffrey Murphy in the amount of $48.05, and $67.53, carrying.  2-0-1  Selectman Murphy abstained.

2.           Added appropriations  (lawyers)-No activity

3.           Transfer Station Hours-No action

4.           North Stonington Lions Club request to hold the Annual Memorial Day Parade-A motion was made by Selectman Mullane and seconded by Selectman Donahue to approve the request by the North Stonington Lions Club to hold the annual parade on May 28, 2012, carrying.
