Minutes
Call to Order-7:00 PM with Selectmen Mullane, Briscoe and Murphy present.
Public Comments and Questions-Joe Gross, Hickory Lane, asked if Mr. Eppinger had an answer to his question on voting at Town meetings. To date, none, Mr. Mullane will check with the attorney.
Minutes A motion was made by Selectman Briscoe and seconded by Selectman Mullane to approve the minutes of December 28, 2010, carrying. 3-0
Correspondence
Old Business-
1. Tribal Issues-Acknowledgement Issues-The Carcieri issue did not make it to a final vote in the Legislature for the 2010 final session, which is now adjourned. The land trust issue keeps surfacing and must be constantly monitored along with the threat to change the tribal acknowledgement rules and process.
2. Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues-
Affordable Housing/Incentive Housing regulations-No report
Milltown Commons-No report
3. Permanent School Building Project Committee
A. School Building Project RFQ for Architectural services-Advertisement for services to be placed.
B. Permanent School Planning and Building Committee Project- Flashing on Gymatorium-All areas are done, but got punch list to do.
C. Middle School/High School Heating System Code Update-Selectmen Mullane finalizing contract.
D. School facilities maintenance responsibilities-No report
E. PSBC- New list of projects-List has been received
F. School of Choice-Revised letter sent to Board of Education asking them to co-sign
4. Kingswood/Meadow Wood drainage review –Meeting with Contractor is scheduled
5. Affordable Housing Committee-No report
6. Hewitt property
A. Committee Report/Activities-Recommendations-Data collection/ Town Meeting-Link between Hewitt Committee and Recreation Commission to be reviewed.
B. Dam Repairs-Re-Engineering-Direct Karl Acimovic to finish design, Answer to FEMA appeal due at end of January.
C. Dew Drop Inn/Rosie’s status-Work is progressing, Liquor Permit needs exception to Town Ordinance
7. Boombridge Road Bridge- State and Federal Funding/ Contracting-No transfer of funds from Rhode Island
8. Grant applications/administration
Water Study Ex. 92 X I95-No report
Rec Area Basketball and Tennis Courts-Spring project, Rec Commission will help with RFQ
Town Hall Solar-Response to DOE send for reimbursement

Economic Development Commission –A motion was made by Selectman Mullane and seconded by Selectman Murphy to appoint Brett Mastroianni to the EDC vacancy created by Mark Perkins, Jr., to fill the term until the November, 2011 election, carrying. 3-0
