Call to Order-7:00 PM with Selectmen Mullane and Murphy present

Public Comments and Questions-None

Minutes-A motion was made by Selectman Murphy and seconded by Selectman Mullane to approve the minutes of October 17, 2001 joint meeting and October 18, 2011 Selectmen’s Meeting, carrying.  2-0

Correspondence

•            Boombridge Road Bridge signed agreement

•            Congestion Mitigation CMAQ Funding Program-Call for Applications by SCCOG

•            Probate Court proposal for expansion

•            24 Puttker Road PZC Abatement Order

  1.   Tribal Issues-Acknowledgement IssuesNo response to date from BIA on Town FOI request.

  2.   Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues-

              Affordable Housing/Incentive Housing regulations-Interviews for consultants by PZC for Town Plan of Conservation and Development scheduled for tomorrow night.

  3.   Permanent School Building Project Committee

              A. School Building Project RFQ for Architectural services-Contract signed with Quisenberry Arcari.

              B. Permanent School Planning and Building Committee Project-No report

C. Middle School/High School Heating System Code Update-Complete pending State inspections

  6.  Hewitt property

              A.  Committee Report/Activities-Recommendations-Open House was held on the 22nd, estimated four to five hundred attendees.  Great success.  Participants were the Historical Society, Education Foundation, Boy Scouts,4H, Avalonia, Citizens Land Alliance, North Stonington Business Association, North Stonington Lions Food Booth, Congregational Church pie sale, North Stonington Vol. Fire Co., Hay rides by tractor and wagon, Stonington Police K-9 demo, bag piper, animal displays, a good time by all.

              B.  Dam Repairs-Re-Engineering-Design is ready for submittal

  7.  Boombridge Road Bridge- Design is being worked on by TranSystem

  8.  Grant applications/administration

              Water Study Ex. 92 X I95-No report

              Rec Area Basketball, Tennis Courts, Volleyball Courts/Ice Rink-Bids due Friday of this week.

              Main Street Bridges-Bid will be advertised on October 31st for 30 days.  Bid due date is November 30, 2011.

14.         Land Acquisition-Executive Session-No activity

 

New Business-

1.           Tax Refund(s)-None presented

2.           Anna Farm Road –General discussion of request by resident/owner Nelson Aldrich to open up 2500 feet of now unmaintained portion of Anna Farm Road.  Selectmen will send a letter to residents of road for opinions prior any decisions or actions.
