3. Permanent School Building Project Committee
A. School Building Project RFQ for Architectural services-Board of Education voted to accept recommendation of School Ad Hoc Committee, Quisenberry Arcahi, but could not fund the selection. The Selectmen will address funding with Board of Finance
B. Permanent School Planning and Building Committee Project- Flashing on Gymatorium-Phase II is complete, Phase I contractor has been terminated, working with attorney.
C. Middle School/High School Heating System Code Update-Job is on schedule, good work!
D. PSBC- New list of projects-New list and cost estimates provided.
E. School of Choice-Consultant is still working on project
4. Kingswood/Meadow Wood drainage review –No report

A. Committee Report/Activities-Recommendations-Continuing to work on the invasive plant removal

7. Boombridge Road Bridge- State and Federal Funding/ Contracting-A motion was made by Selectman Mullane and seconded by Selectman Murphy to expend $31,100 for the Rhode Island share of costs to get design completed, carrying. 2-0

Rec Area Basketball and Tennis Courts-PZC is requiring that the Town have a site plan hearing scheduled for October 6, 2011. Application is being prepared.

New Business-
1. Additional Appropriation Request for Main Street Bridges Repair and Replacement-A motion was made by Selectman Murphy and seconded by Selectman Mullane to adopt the following resolution
RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF SELECTMEN
RESOLVED, that the Board of Selectmen recommends that the Town of North Stonington appropriate $1,975,000 for costs related to replacement of the Old Town Hall Bridge with a single span structure including related work, improvements and appurtenances, and for the costs of financing thereof; and that the Town issue bonds or notes and temporary notes in an amount not to exceed $1,975,000 to finance the appropriation. The Town anticipates receiving a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for 75% of the eligible costs of the project.
