MINUTES

 

Call to Order    7:00 pm with Selectman Mullane, Murphy, and Briscoe present 

Public Comments and Questions-None presented

Minutes –A motion was made by Selectman Mullane and seconded by Selectman Murphy to approve the minutes of August 16, 2011, carrying 2-0-1 Selectman Briscoe was not at the 16th meeting and abstained.

Correspondence

Old Business-

  1.   Tribal Issues-Acknowledgement Issues-No response to town’s FOI request from Department of Interior/BIA

  2.   Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues-

              Affordable Housing/Incentive Housing regulations-Members of Affordable Housing Committee and Juliet Leeming asked for update on action items, no response from Boards and Commissions lawyers contacted rescheduled to September 13th.

              Milltown Commons

  3.   Permanent School Building Project Committee

              A. School Building Project RFQ for Quisenberry Architectural, LLC services-Selectman Briscoe made a motion to request an additional appropriation of $13,200 for study; seconded by Selectman Mullane but asked item be tabled for financial update, agreed

              B. Permanent School Planning and Building Committee Project- Flashing on Gymatorium-Phase II is complete and Phase I is being finalized by 2nd contractor.

C. Middle School/High School Heating System Code Update-On schedule

D. PSBC- New list of projects-Finalized, pending pricing on Gymatorium sealing

E. School of Choice-No report, consult is continuing work

  4.  Kingswood/Meadow Wood drainage review –No report

  5.  Affordable Housing Committee-See above

  6.  Hewitt property

              A.  Committee Report/Activities-Recommendations-Due to pending hurricane Irene, all projects are on hold.

              B.  Dam Repairs-Re-Engineering-No new data

  7.  Boombridge Road Bridge- State and Federal Funding/ Contracting complete-Latest contract sent to design consultant for comments and agreement before signing.

  8.  Grant applications/administration

              Water Study Ex. 92 X I95

              Rec Area Basketball and Tennis Courts                 No new data

              Town Hall Solar-Audit team will visit town hall to evaluate town hall project, pending reimbursement

New Business-

1.           DUI Grant Additional Appropriation-No action

2.           School Ad Hoc Committee request for Study Funding-As above, $13,200 for Quisenberry Arcari Architects, tabled.

3.           Tax Refund(s)-A motion was made by Selectman Murphy and seconded by Selectman Briscoe to approve a refund of taxes to Robert Mojeski, for $7.09, carrying.  3-0
