Correspondence

             

Executive Session-Attorney Eppinger discussed YMCA land sale, no action taken and Avery Lane survey results. Attorney   Eppinger also went over land survey research on Avery Lane, not in executive session

Old Business-

  1.   Tribal Issues-Acknowledgement Issues- the FOI request to the Department of Interior/ BIA is late

  2.   Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues-

              Affordable Housing/Incentive Housing regulations- no report

              Milltown Commons- no report

  3.   Permanent School Building Project Committee

              A. School Building Project RFQ for Architectural services- BOE to act on August 3, 2011

                           B. Permanent School Planning and Building Committee Project- Flashing on Gymatorium Phase II working, Phase I contractor being terminated

C. Middle School/High School Heating System Code Update.- job working. Progressing very well

D. PSBC- New list of projects- list and costs provided

E. School of Choice- consultant finalizing report. No due date available

  4.  Kingswood/Meadow Wood drainage review – no report

  5.  Affordable Housing Committee- no report

  6.  Hewitt property

             A.  Committee Report/Activities-Recommendations- committee continues to meet and are addressing a variety of issues.  They are particularly concerned with invasive plant plants on the property

              B.  Dam Repairs-Re-Engineering- final design due in September

  7.  Boombridge Road Bridge- State and Federal Funding/ Contracting- Selectman Mullane is taking action

  8.  Grant applications/administration

              Water Study Ex. 92 X I95- no report

              Rec Area Basketball and Tennis Courts- no report

              Town Hall Solar- no report

9.  Board and Commission appointment

              Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center Board of Directors Representative Replacement- no action

              Permanent School Planning and Building Committee- no action

              Water Pollution Control Authority- no action

              Cable TV Advisory Committee- no action

             Recreation Commission- Selectman Murphy made a motion to appoint Megan Perkins to the recreation commission. Selectman Mullane seconded. Motion carried 2-0

Hewitt Farm Committee Alternate- Selectmen Mullane and Murphy vote 2-0 to appoint Edward J Harasimowitz

10.  Budget  FY 2010-2011 & Additional Appropriations & Transfers- need funds for Town Hall bridge replacement, meeting with Board of Finance on 8.17.2011

11.  Flood Damage Status Report/Repairs Update/ Action Items

              Main Street Bridges- Jay Costello of WMC will attend the Selectmen’s meeting on August 16, 2011 to brief the Selectmen before the Board of Finance meeting on August 17, 2011

12.  STEAP Grant candidates- no report

13.         YMCA Property- Briefed by Attorney Eppinger in executive session.  No action taken
