Call to Order-7:01 PM with Selectmen Mullane, Briscoe and Murphy present. 


Public Comments and Questions-Bob Fleury-Conservation Commission asked for support from the PZC for fee in lieu CGS 8-25 or CGS 8-25b.  Selectmen would address under item 2, PZC, other

Minutes – A motion was made by Selectman Murphy and seconded by Selectman Briscoe to approve the minutes of February 2, 2010, carrying.  3-0

2.   Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues-

                PZC Affordable/Incentive Housing regulations-No new data

                Milltown Commons-No new application to date

                Review of Affordable Housing applications/Meadow Court –Selectman Briscoe made a motion to support the Conservation Commission’s request for PZC to accept fees in lieu of open space, seconded by Selectman Murphy, carrying 3-0

A.       Permanent School Planning and Building Committee Projects- Flashing on Gymatorium-No report

B.         Middle School/High School Heating System Code Update-No report

4.   Town Energy Projects

                              Wind farm Project-Due to the loss of grant by the Town, we will be required to revaluate project and how to move forward.  Mr. Johannemann will provide latest cost estimates and business plan with acquisition of turbines.

5.   Kingswood/Meadow Wood drainage review –Selectmen want letters to homeowners on schedule and impact.

6.  Affordable Housing Committee- No report

7.  Hewitt property

                                Committee Report/Activities-Recommendations-Selectman Mullane will check in with Chairman Peterson

                                Dam Repairs-Summer/Fall 2010-No new data

                                Lease Renewals-Dew Drop Inn/Rosie’s-Permit fee paid, septic permit should be issued by February 28th

8.  Boombridge Road bridge

                                State and Federal Funding-MOU with Westerly is ready for signatures

9.   STEAP Grant applications-Prepare application for water Towner& tennis/basketball courts rebuilding.

10.  FY 2009-10 Capital Projects

                                Old Town Hall Solar Panels (including roof and chimney)-Proposals being gathered

11.  DEP Millings Testing Results-No report

12.  Pinewoods Road-Court date has been rescheduled to May

13.  Request of YMCA to release interest in land on Button Road-No report

14.   North Stonington Ambulance Financial Status-want last year letters and additional appropriations.  Survey area ambulance associations for contributions from their towns

16.     Budget for FY 2010-2011-Interview and discussion  with Chairman Currier from EDC, Ms Chase and Ms. MacKay, Registrars, President Shabunia from NSVFC.  Topics included insurances, travel, and consulting.  No action was taken
