a. Committee Report-August 18th Committee meeting with Selectmen-Present: Bill Peterson, Brian Rathbun, Robleigh Evans, Kip Taylor, Ellie Banker, Anne Nalwalk, and Curtis Moussie. Madeline Jeffery, attended as a representative of the Land Alliance. The Committee tried to keep with uses as in deed and open space, and concern for those living in town’s rental homes and details would come after general consensus is received. Passive activities such as bicycling are OK.
IDEAS Discussed
· Whether committee is ongoing or just until completion of reports and Town Meeting
· Establish detail rules now or later?
· Comment, learn to enjoy it as it is
· Report mute on snowmobiles
· What kind of bikes will be allowed and where?
· Has Hewitt Road been discontinued?
· What kind of signs should be installed now? Later?
· Review ERT recommendations
· Need Walkway Bridge over stream-No funds at this time
· Community Garden?
· Farmers’ Market?
· Does the Penfield proposal have merit?
· What trails on property or going off of property?
· Get legal opinion from attorney on trails
· What is walking trail? What are biking trails?
b. Dam Repairs-Wetlands response, not involved, under DEP jurisdiction
c. Lease Renewals-Dew Drop Inn/Rosie’s-Foreclosure notice sent, no response to date.

State and Federal Funding-No commitment for funding from Rhode Island yet.

1 . Single stream recycling DRAFT contract review- General discuss, action on call of special town meeting-
2. Call of Special Town Meeting- Table until next Selectmen’s Meeting for September 14th meeting
· Delay of Revaluation
· Resolution-Authorizing multi-year contract for Single Stream Recycling
3. Board of Selectmen action on Town Plan of Conservation and Development in accordance with CGS 8-23 2 f 2- After review of CGS requirements it was mutually agreed by Board that the Selectmen would not comment as a Board but if individual Selectmen want to make comments to PZC they can.
4. Tax Refund-A motion was made by Selectman Ricker and seconded by Selectman Murphy to approve a tax refund to R. McCannes in the amount of $89.12, carrying. 3-0
