1. Tribal Issues-Letter was received from Senator Lieberman’s office stating that Senator Salazar had been nominated for the position of Secretary of the Interior and that the Senator would keep the town’s concerns in mind during confirmation hearings.

3. Permanent School Building Project Committee
A. Activities/membership-No action
B. CGS 8-24 Approval of School Building Projects (Booster project)-Heating project was submitted on town’s stimulus package proposal. General discussion and note that item will be on agenda for next week and school facilities members will be invited for input. PSPBC and Design Learned will be invited. Selectman Mullane will get budget to date and forecasted spending for PSPBC for FY 2008-09.

Dam Repair-General discussion of tree removal, Selectman Mullane will begin preparing bid documents

New Business
1. Agriculture Planning / Grant-Grant Funds are available and Town would like to apply and after general discussion it was decided to form a agricultural steering committee. Members are Selectman Ricker, Vilma Gregagopolis-PZC, Fred Launer-Conservation Commission, Marilyn Mackay-EDC, Brian Rathbun-Hewitt Property Advisory Committee, Juliet Leeming-PZC, Milton Banker, Robert Miner Nita Kincaid and Chris Johnson, members at large. What do we want to do-mapping, surveys, concentrate on Farmer’s Market, Tree Farm, Newsletter, Bigger Farms, Horses, Trails, create town farming employment, VoAg, Greenhouses, Foresters, Winery, land grants, etc.

Solar for Old Town Hall
General Discussion –If this is the right time to do heating system in High/Middle School.
