Public Comments and Questions-Nita Kincaid notified the Board that the Agricultural Committee is having a meeting at the Grange on October 21st, all are invited

September 15, 2009-A motion was made by Selectman Ricker and seconded by Selectman Murphy to approve the minutes of September 15th, carrying. 3-0

Draft letter on Senate Bill S1703-Draft OK’d to be signed by North Stonington, Ledyard and Preston
Appellate Hearing on Schaghticoke appeal-Hearing to be held on October 8th, will get status report from Attorney Baur
2. Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues-
PZC Bucket List-The Board will request that PZC consider Affordable Housing when doing the text amendment for Milltown Commons especially the recommendations of the Affordable Housing Committee

3. Permanent School Building Project Committee
A. Activities/membership-Ad Hoc Committee
Membership-A motion was made by Selectman Ricker and seconded by Selectman Mullane to appoint Walter Mathwich, Farm Pond Road, to the Ad Hoc School Committee, carrying. 3-0
B. Permanent School Planning and Building Committee Projects
C. Middle School/High School Heating System Code Update
Boilers-Emergency Asbestos abatement and repair will begin this weekend
Flashing on Gymatorium-Steve Aiello noted the bid package for the work is a week to ten days from completion. Also commented on the negative comments made about the PSPBC, but he wants to take a positive approach and continue working for the Town

Lease Renewals-Dew Drop Inn/Rosie’s-First Selectman Mullane received a telephone call from Fotis Georgiadis, he stated he wants to work with Town and avoid eviction.

13. YMCA Property- Selectman Mullane has exhausted all avenues for funding
14. DEP Testing Results-Letter was received from GEI Consultants and the DEP is doing more testing this week
15. Single Stream Contract-Willimantic Waste Paper- A motion was made by Selectman Murphy and seconded by Selectman Ricker to authorize the signing and execution of a contract with WWP with the municipal non appropriation clause added, carrying 3-0
16. Pinewoods Road-The Town is preparing for Court October 26th
17. Changes to the Town’s Exclusive Service Area (water)-Table for next week
New Business-
1. Sale of old Walking Floor Trailer-The trailer will be traded in with new purchase for $2,000
2. Maintenance on private roads-A letter will be sent to the homeowner with request indicating that we will provide millings, no labor and that all neighbors must be informed and agree to the process
3. Town Hall generator (used)-Information provided to the Board, no action
