6. Affordable Housing Committee-First Selectman Mullane will get information on tax abatement for affordable housing and a
Selectmen recommendation from M. Mackay to appoint Olson, Ricker, Elbaum, Scaramozza, Brophy to new ongoing Affordable Housing
Committee. This Committee will replace the previous.
7. Hewitt property
Committee Report/Activities-Recommendations worker on bumper replacement on dam and bridges
Dam Repairs-Scheduled for Spring, Summer and Fall of 2010
Lease Renewals-Dew Drop Inn/Rosie’s-Final demand notice sent leasee sending counter offer to complete
construction and open restaurant.
Haying Contract-Received check from Mark Perkins for $400, for 2009 haying season. Selectman Murphy
made a motion to award contract to Mr. Perkins for the next three years at $500 per year.
Trail Water Crossing-Working on walkway planks replacement over streams.
8. Boombridge Road bridge
State and Federal Funding-No response from State of Rhode Island
9. FY 2009-2010 State Budget
2009-2010 Legislative Agenda-Budget is done, not all grant amounts available yet, legislature is still working out enabling.
10 STEAP Grant applications-Board is still reviewing options for future applications
11. FY 2009-10 Capital Projects
Old Town Hall Solar Panels (including roof and chimney)-Grant application is pending
12. JAG Stimulus Grant –Additional appropriation $11375 ($9100 for grant and $2275 matching funds)
13. DEP Testing Results-No new information
14. Pinewoods Road-Court date delayed
15. Request of YMCA to release interest in land on Button Road-First Selectman Mullane had responded, Town not willing to give up reverter clause and wants easement to land.
New Business-
1. North Stonington Ambulance Financial Status-Brief review of NSAA report only thru September, looks like deficit is between $12,000-$19,000. Will have Mr. Elias in for later meeting to update.
2. Tax Refund(s)-A motion was made by Selectman Mullane and seconded by Selectman Murphy to approve a tax refund in the amount of $48.85 to Ann Gray, Main Street, carrying. 2-0
3. Resolution of Authority for Town Treasurer’s application for OPM EECBG-Selectman Murphy made a motion to approve the following resolution, seconded by Selectman Mullane, carrying. 2-0
