3. Permanent School Building Project Committee
A. Activities/membership-Draft of press release, letter to potential new ad hoc committee members was OK’d, Gary Herbert has been designated as the non-voting member of new Ad Hoc Committee representing the BOF
B. CGS 8-24 Approval of School Building Projects (Booster project)-on hold until project approved by Board of Education and PSPBC
4. Town Energy Projects
Electrical Rate Bids
Wind farm Project-The developers of the wind project requested that the BOS consider an application for Clean Renewable Energy Bonds. This will take research and financial consulting. First Selectman Mullane will begin the process.
5. Town Hall Improvements-Windows are ordered for the NTH and we are still researching doors for the Old Town Hall.
6. Kingswood/Meadowwood drainage review-Report on pipe cleaning, catchbasins, and installation of pipe.
7. Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Committee-No report
8. Closing on Mystic Seaport Property by Town-Frank Eppinger present and reviewed needs for closing, repair items, indemnification for oil leak carrying on after closing, final costs including tax adjustments, fees, title insurance, etc. DEP has provided a draft report on the spill at the Old School House and that no oil has left the building footprint except to old well next to house and oil is being collected and monitored. An active ventilation system will be installed vs passive. Purchase closing is scheduled for October 8, 2008.
9. FY 2007-08 Close-out/Audit-Progress is being made, expect completion by mid-week on bookkeeping
10. Boombridge Road bridge-Review of Bid Response
Spending Authorization Future Town Meeting-Design consultant process is underway, First Selectman provided a cost estimate matrix for North Stonington, State of Connecticut, State of Rhode Island and Westerly.
11. LoCIP Plan revisions

12. Town Hall parking lot-May have to place project on hold for the Winter.
New Business
1. Appointment to Cable Television Advisory Board-First Selectman will contact current representative
2. Sale of used Highway Truck-General discussion, no decisions
3. Bid specifications for new fire truck-VFC will vote on Wednesday and forward for Selectmen’s action next week.
