Call to Order-First Selectman Mullane called the meeting to order at
6:00 PM with Selectman Ricker, Chairman Robert (BOE), B. Briscoe, M.
Ricker, C. Sechiaroli, J. Keene, E. Banker, D. McCord of the Board of
Education. Also present was Gary Herbert, Tom Oswald, Larry Southwick,
Emil Pavlovics, Mark Donahue and Nick Gumprecht, Board of Finance
members. Selectman Murphy joined the meeting at 7:00 PM.
Board of Selectmen-First Selectman Mullane gave an overview of the
following items to those members present and the taxpayers present.
1. Current Year Revenues Estimates v. Actual
2. Projected Revenues Fiscal Year 2008-2009
3. Budget Projections Fiscal Year 2008-2009

Board of Education-Chairman Robert gave an overview of current and
revenue and expenditure outlooks for FY 2008-09. Mr. Robert also gave a
brief review of the new post employment benefits liability for retirees.

School Building Study Briefing
Board of Finance -Chairman Donahue and Vice Chairman Southwick gave an
overview of budget expectations and asked that both the Board of
Education and Board of Selectmen (General Government) work toward a 0%
increase.

3. Financial Status for the Town
4. Communication Policy-The Boards and Commissions will continue
to communicate and meet to continue the budget process.
Public Comments and Questions-The Board members answered several
questions from the audience regarding State revenues, union contracts,
and expenditures.
