1. Tribal issues- No report
2. Subdivision Review and Planning & Zoning Issues-
Garden Court LLC- Record filed on August 4, 2008: Selectman Mullane has
asked Planning & Zoning status of law suit. No response to date from
Planning & zoning
3. Permanent School Building Project Committee:
A. Activities / membership- The first meeting has been
held and the second scheduled. Committee is one member short
B. CGS 8-24 Approval of School Building Projects (Booster
project): No report
4. Town Energy Projects
Electrical rate bids: No reports
Wind farm project: One consultant interviewed, others scheduled
for feasibility & financial analysis
5. Town Hall Improvements
6. Kingswood / Meadow Wood drainage review: General discussion with
highway foreman
7. Affordable Housing Committee: Selectman Mullane will ask Planning &
Zoning for response to request for a
joint meeting
8. Mystic Seaport property Dam Repairs:
Home Repairs: New gas heater and water heater installed
Signs and controls: Turned over to Hewitt Committee
Transition of Leases: No report
Dam repair: No report

9. Boombridge Road bridge-
Report of design review team report- No report
10. FY 2009-2010 budget- General discussion
11. 2009-2010 Legislative Agenda- Representative Dianna Urban, general
discussion on STEAP grants/stimulus
package candidates and upcoming budget forecast and expectations
12. STEAP grant applications- Discussion on candidates
New Business
1. Fire Truck bid results / bid award: Selectman Mullane
informed board that he signed the contract with
E-One for purchase of the new pumper at the cost of
$489,496.00 and will not finance until delivery in
270 days saving interest cost during that period
2. Steve Holliday Highway Foreman:
Discussion on budget issues, one of two sanitary land fill walking floor
trailers is worn out and should be considered for replacement in coming
budget. Steve is getting estimates
Selectmen were briefed on snow storm costs and truck problems
Briefed on & discussed Kingswood / Meadow Wood drainage system revisions
and improvements
