2. Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues-
• Garden Court LLC-Record filed on August 4, 2008 -No report
• Planning & Zoning applied for a moratorium extension to December 20, 2008, hearing September 4
A letter was sent from the Selectmen to PZC asking for spending estimates if moratorium is extended.
3. Permanent School Building As soon as we can determine a schedule the Board will send a revised PSPBC ordinance to Town Meeting.

4. Town Energy Projects
Electrical Rate Bids-No report
Wind farm Project-Letters were received from Seth Blumsack and Jean Leo Gangier naming companies that could ask as consultants and reviewing wind availability.
5. Town Hall Improvements-Windows are ordered for New Town Hall
6. Kingswood/Meadowwood drainage review-It was found that roots were growing into drainage pipes. Pat Lafayette and Teabeau will attend a future meeting to evaluate latest information and corrective action.
7. Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Committee-No report
8. Purchase of Mystic Seaport property by Town-Passed at referendum 430-263, Selectmen will begin work on closing with the Seaport. A motion was made by Selectman Murphy, seconded by Selectman Mullane to hire Sound Home Inspection to inspect the Seaport properties, carrying. 3-0 Note: It was incorrectly stated in the August 19th minutes the cost of the Home inspection should have been recorded as follows:
Building and Insects from Excel Home Inspection $1450 +100 for each insect inspection (4). Sound Home Inspection $1550 including all 4 insect inspections
9. FY 2007-08 Close-out, additional appropriations, and transfers-No new data
10. Boombridge Road bridge-Next action will be to receive design bids, September 16, 2008
11. LoCIP Plan revisions-No action
12. North Stonington Volunteer Fire Company-Bob Shabunia and Charlie Smith were in to discuss modifications to the Fire Station to accommodate the new truck.
New Business
1. Highway Policy on truck use-General discussion on truck usage at the Highway Department for the Assistant Foreman, no changes were made.
