Call to Order-7:00 PM with Selectman Mullane, Murphy and Ricker present.
Public Comments and Questions- A group of citizens would like to help
the Board to inform the public regarding the proposed sale of the
Seaport property. The Board agreed with an informal group, all are
welcome. Town will assist with data collection. Citizens interested in
the Seaport effort were Nita Kincaid, Ron Lewis, Bob Fleury, Mary
Cooper, Madeline Jeffery, Ellie Banker and Curt Mousie.
Minutes-Selectmen Ricker made a motion to accept the minutes of July 15,
2008, seconded by Selectman Murphy, carrying. 3-0

Dodd's staff.
5. Town Hall Improvements

Doors Selectman Mullane to work with this
year's funding and will bring pricing to future meetings on
projects.

6. Kingswood/Meadowwood drainage review-Highway Department will get a
camera to inspect piping on Sharon Lane/Old Colony Road.
7. Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Committee-No report, collecting surveys
until July 31st.
8. Purchase of Mystic Seaport property by Town-Last revision of Sales
Agreement is OK with Board, Selectman Mullane will check with Attorney
Eppinger to see if there are any other changes or revisions. OK to sign
as is, including small word changes.
9. FY 2007-08 Close-out, additional appropriations, and transfers-No
new expenses, revenues still be received.
10. Transfer Station rules and regulations-Discussion on commercial
haulers, access to Transfer Station.
New Business
1. Boards and Commissions appointments
Inland Wetlands-
Permanent School Planning and Building Committee-A
motion was made by Selectman Ricker, seconded by Selectman Mullane to
reappoint Steve Aiello to the Committee for a two year term, carrying.

Recreation Commission--A motion was made by Selectman
Ricker, seconded by Selectman Mullane to reappoint Steve Aiello to the
Commission for a two year term, carrying. 3-0
Cemetery Commission-A motion was made by Selectman
Ricker and seconded by Selectman Mullane to reappoint Priscilla Crofts
and Michael Dibble to the Cemetery Committee for 6 year terms, carrying

2. Public Works Truck Purchase-Steve Holliday explained the pros
and cons of buying vs. leasing and pricing of F450 vs. F550 vehicles,
only about $600 variance. Leasing is expensive at this time ranging
from 6.5-9% plus fees and loss in end of year incentives and rebates.
3. Boombridge Road bridge-General information on process and costs.
$300,000 for engineering and design and $1,500,000 for construction.
Board OK project moving forward to engage a consulting firm for the
preparation of the contract plans and documents.
4. LoCIP Plan-Review of funds in account and changes to cover
Kingswood drainage project and Boombridge Road bridge. The Board will
need to take Plan to Town Meeting for revisions to commit $30,000 to
design on Boombridge Road Bridge in the very near future.
