1 Call of Special Town Meeting
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
A special town meeting of the electors and citizens qualified to vote in
town meetings of the Town of North Stonington, Connecticut, will be held
on the date indicated at the time and location noted below for the
following purposes:
LOCATION: New Stonington Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room
DATE: August 27, 2007
TIME: 7:00 p.m.
1. "Shall the Town of north Stonington approve the
estimates and recommendations of the Board of Finance with respect to
the annual budget for fiscal year July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008, in
the amount of $ 5,343,406 for the general government, and make specific
appropriations and authorize expenditures in, connection therewith as
appear advisable?"
2. "Shall the Town of North Stonington approve the estimates and
recommendations of the Board of Finance with respect to the annual
budget for fiscal year July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008, in the amount
of $ 11,675,580 Board of Education, and make specific appropriations
and authorize expenditures in, connection therewith as appear
advisable?"

A motion was made by Selectman Mullane, seconded by Selectman
Peterson to send both items referenced above to a Town Meeting on August
27, 2007, carrying. 3-0
2. Referendum Resolution(s)
A motion was made by Selectman Mullane and seconded by Selectman
Peterson to send both items from the August 27, 2007, Special Town
Meeting to Referendum vote on September 4, 2007, carrying. 3-0
Public Comments and Questions-Selectman Hescock received an email from
Mark Donahue with some sample questions for the referendum, after
general discussion it was decided not to add any additional items to the
vote.
