Call to Order-7:00 PM, with Selectman Mullane, Peterson, and Hescock present

Minutes-A motion was made by Selectman Peterson, seconded by Selectman Hescock to approve the minutes of September 11, 2007, carrying.  3-0
A motion was made by Selectman Hescock, seconded by Selectmen Peterson to approve the minutes of September 13, 2007, carrying.  3-0

3.   Route 2 Road Modifications update-A motion was made by Selectman Peterson to send letter to Governor Rell, no second.  Selectman Hescock wants to rewrite the letter.
  • Subdivision Review and Planning and Zoning Issues
                Milltown Commons-Hearing Closed-PZC deliberating, First Selectman Mullane made general comments on the possible benefits of a floating zone that should be researched.
                Garden Court LLC-Hearing still open, First Selectman Mullane will provide additional testimony.
5.   Assekonk Swamp Walkway-Fencing is up for parking lot and grading is continuing.

10.   Waterline in the Village-OK was given by DEP to advertise
11.   Billings Lake drawdown request-Some residents were present requesting drawdown, budget cuts leave little or no extra funding, estimated cost is $700-800, Selectman Mullane stated funding could be taken from miscellaneous funding but would deplete that line item account, billing from last year was requested to confirm costs, tabled until next week. Selectman Hescock and Peterson did not feel we had the budget.
12.   Revisions to financial reporting (B. Borden Letter 9/10) response-Selectmen Hescock and Peterson want to hold Board of Selectmen’s response and wait for Board of Finance’s request.
New Business
  • Emergency Vehicle Pre-Emption for Mystic Road intersection-How much is cost, why light changes, how far away must truck be to activate the pre-emptor?  Action tabled
  • Little League Driveway Bond-A motion was made by Selectman Mullane, seconded by Selectman Peterson to waive the $1500, bond fee, carrying.  3-0
  • Phoenix Accounting Software-The Board of Selectman unanimously agreed to accept the settlement offer and sign the termination agreement with Sungard.
