Draft Meeting Minutes*

Wednesday March 6, 2013
North Stonington Elementary School
North Stonington, CT
- Call to Order: Chairman Dan Spring called the meeting to order at 8:52 PM.~ Brent Woodward, Emile Pavolvics, Mustapha Ratib and Mike Urgo were present. Peter Nimirowski was absent.
- Public Comments and Questions: No comments or questions.
3. Audit Team: Audit 2012-2013 Engagement Proposal:
Meyers and Company LLC, the company that performed the 2011-2012 fiscal year Town audit, informed the Town that they will no longer be providing this service. Sandra Welwood, CPA with Meyers and Company LLC, who was the lead team member, has established Sandra E. Welwood LLC and will continue to provide the service. First Selectman Nick Mullane spoke favorably of the effort he had witnessed during the recent audit.
A motion was made by Dan Spring recommending that Sandra E. Welwood, LLC be engaged to perform Town auditing services for the 2012-2013 fiscal year at a cost of $20,350. The motion was seconded by Mike Urgo and passed 5-0-0.
*This meeting followed the tripartite meeting between the BOS, BOE and BOF which commenced the 2013-2014 budget season.
Dan Spring moved to approve the minutes of February 20, 2013 as amended. The motion was seconded by Brent Woodward and passed 5-0-0.

5. Future Strategies: Create the calendar for FY 2013-2014 budget events.
6. Adjournment:
A motion was made by Dan Spring to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Mustapha Ratib and passed 5-0-0. The meeting was adjourned at 9:25 PM.
