Draft Workshop Minutes

North Stonington, CT
1. Call to Order: Chairman Dan Spring called the workshop to order at 7:00 PM. Brent Woodward, Mike Urgo, Mustapha Ratib and Emile Pavolvics were present. Peter Nimirowski was absent.
2. Fiscal Procedures/Policies Review: Pursuant to the recommendation made by the Town Auditor, Sandra E. Welwood, LLC, at the July 17, 2013 BOF meeting to develop procedures/policies for maximizing financial accuracy within the Town, the Board discussed various techniques for minimizing the possibility of fraud. Dan Spring provided copies of numerous monthly financial reports from the town of Westbrook, CT that the Board felt if used by North Stonington would help to monitor the financial soundness of the Town. These and other methods will receive continued review for future implementation by the Town.
3. Future Strategies: Continue dialog toward implementation.
4. Adjournment: The workshop was adjourned at 9:15PM.
