Meeting Minutes
of
Wednesday May 23, 2012
New Town Hall
North Stonington, CT
- Call to Order: Chairman Dan Spring called the meeting to order at 7:33 P.M.~ Emile Pavolvics, Peter Nimirowski, Mustapha Ratib and Brent Woodward were present.
2. Public Comments and Questions:~ No comments or questions.
- BOS: Budget FY 2012-13/ Transfers/ Project Updates:
Dan Spring moved to approve the transfer of $5,500 from line item BB 20.05 (Medical Insurance) to line item B21.02 (Elections and Town Meetings). The motion was seconded by Peter Nimirowski and passed 5-0-0.
Selectmen Mark Donahue reported that the rain had delayed sealing of the tennis courts but was confident that weather permitting the reconstruction effort could be finished in two weeks. He also noted that applying for STEAP grants was at hand.
Peter Nimirowski left the meeting at 8:15 PM.
4. BOE: Budget 2012-13 / Discovery Audit: The contracted auditor is scheduled to conduct interviews on May 25, 2012 as part of the examination into the alleged misuse of school funds.
- Correspondence: Bid packages from two of the companies solicited to quote on providing audit services to the Town have been received.
Dan Spring moved to approve the minutes of May 14, 2012 as amended. The motion was seconded by Emile Pavolvics and passed 4-0-0.
Dan Spring moved to approve the minutes of May 16, 2012 as amended. The motion was seconded by Mustapha Ratib and passed 4-0-0.
7. Adjournment: A motion was made by Mustapha Ratib to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Dan Spring and carried 4-0-0. The meeting was adjourned at 9:21 PM.
