North Stonington Affordable Housing Advisory Committee

The meeting was called to order by Co-Chairman Tim Pelland at 6:08 PM. The minutes of the Nov. 15, 2011 meeting were approved.
Jason Vincent, the Planimetrics project manager, was unable to attend the meeting due to a medical emergency. He had forwarded a memo on a draft of the proposed contract with the AHC thru Juliet Leeming’s office. (Copy attached). The committee had some questions about their proposed budget and scope of work; Juliet will meet with Jason prior to the next AHC meeting on Jan.26, 2012, to discuss those concerns. She plans on the meeting with Planimetrics to be held before Jan.13th and will report back to AHC the result of this discussion. Once these questions are resolved, the contract will be sent to the BOS for signature.
Members of the AHC will attend the town meeting Dec. 22nd to learn about and discuss on the possible donation of land on Wintechog Hill Rd. to the town, taking the position that we are in favor of any donated land that might be suitable for developing affordable housing in North Stonington.
Effective Dec. 31, 2010, Stella Neves-Elbaum will resign from the AHC; the committee will actively recruit a replacement member to fill this role as soon as possible.
A motion was made and thereafter seconded that the committee be adjourned at 7:05 PM. The next meeting will be held Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, 6:00 PM, Wheeler High School Media Center.
