North Stonington Affordable Housing Advisory Committee
March 16,2010
In attendance : Michelle Brophy, James Scaramozza, Tim Pelland, Stella Neves-Elbaum.
Absent : Mary Ann Ricker
Guests : Marilyn Mackay, Julie Savin, Jane Dauphinais, John Olsen
Tim Pelland , co chairman, called the meeting to order at 6:15PM.
It was moved, seconded and carried to approve the minutes of the Feb. 25,2010 meeting.
John Olsen, a volunteer spokesperson for the Meadowcourt Development , gave a presentation to the committee about the planned apartment property, He explained the current status of the project, both on a town level and issues being reviewed by the State DEP regarding the aquifer and traffic studies.
The committee discussed the proposed Education Brochure and additional ways to explain the concept of Affordable Housing to our community.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15pm.
The next meeting will be April 20 ,2010 at 6:00pm, Elementary School Library.
